The Department was started in 2010 with the intake of 60 students for under graduate course in Electrical Engineering. It is committed to nourish its students in to highly skilled and proficient engineer. The program of Electrical engineering deals with Energy & Power, Electrical Drives, and Process Controls. The courses of the Electrical Engineering program are designed to cater the present needs of power sector, industrial automation and other industries. The objective of the program is to prepare students for different sections of power industry such as Generation, Transmission and Distribution, with help of well-equipped laboratories & advance instruments students gets hands on experience to latest technology and practical knowledge.
The department provides computational facilities along with the software's and good exposure to the industry. The faculty members of the department are an intellectual group of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated staff members the team work capabilities in students are developed by conducting group activities like mini and major projects and to cope up with the advancement in the field of Electrical Engineering, various guest lectures, seminar & workshop are organized.
Our results are excellent and many students bagged good score in university exam. Several of the graduates who have passed out from this department are occupying responsible positions in various Engineering industries, Government and semi-government organizations. Some of our Alumina is proven Entrepreneurs. Many of the students have been placed at different multinational companies or are pursuing higher studies in premier educational institutes.
Vision:
To become lead center in electrical engineering field by focusing on rural areas to reduce human efforts.
Mission:
Our mission is to provide Electrical engineering education to rural student to deals with global challenges by using creativity, innovative thinking, comprehensive engineering knowledge and skill through effective teaching and learning process
Prof. Joshi V.M. has completed his B.E. (Electrical Engg.) from PDVP College of Engineering, Ahmednagar and M.E (Electrical Power System) from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. His areas of interest are Power Systems, Electrical Machine and Electrical Material Science. He has 9 years of teaching experience. He has published five papers in International Journal’s & Conferences. She has attended several Workshops, Seminars and FDP.
By bringing together excellence in education and research capabilities, we seek to turn out graduates who are academically strong and at the same time hold the competency to use their knowledge for solving real-world problems. In this direction, the department provides an excellent environment for its students and faculties to work with ATC, Ahmednagar and enthusiasm with an aim to give their best. The department also provides facilities to carry out research in the emerging technology areas. Extraordinary activeness is observed all alike in students, faculty and staff. This department has taken initiative in achieving excellence in academic performance of students. Special emphasis is laid on the Teaching-Learning process. Efforts are taken to make the class room activity highly interactive. Special weekly brainstorming sessions are arranged for faculty to consolidate conceptual clarity and applications
Our Department’s skilled and qualified faculties, who have exposure to and knowledge of various areas within Electrical engineering, help us to reach this objective and make Electrical Engineering one of the most coveted streams opted for by the students.
The current competitive times call for measures that adopt an integrated approach to education as a part of the pedagogy in order to create engineers who can make a mark for themselves and more in this world.
I wish every success to all the students, faculty and staff of the department and of the campus on whole.
